Tiny houses have gained popularity in the past 30 years, as more and more people decide to downsize their lives. Therefore, we are offering a 360 sq. ft. retreat house that will provide much more for less. Includes a main living space, a kitchen, a washroom, and a master bedroom + a great view! The location of the house is on the east side Greens Creek River and north of Blackburn Hamlet Bypass. It is a short jaunt across the creek from Pineview golf course for those living an active lifestyle.

Sustainability is one of our main goals, therefore we want to build our house as environmentally friendly as possible. Therefore, we have a PV panel on the roof, ICF foundation and walls, LED's, Rainwater collection (water washing garden), A Greywater filteration system, and high efficiency windows. Our tiny house aims to provide minimalist living using various recycled building materials. The goal is to be a self-sustaining Tiny House unit that is off the grid, and off town water and waste disposal. We chose certain materials because they were recycled as a way of giving back to the environment by not allowing more to go into landfills, and by helping to be a part of our planets solution, not just another user. One of our other goals is to be able to feed ourselves if possible on the land we have chosen.
Advantages of the ICF foundation and walls:

ICF Foundations are environmentally friendly. By installing an ICF foundation, the customer will save a substantial amount in lumber costs. Another aspect of the environmental design in ICF foundations is that they have non-toxic chemicals in them that will affect the environment or will not give off toxic gasses in the home. These foundations offer a significant energy savings.

They will usually save the homeowner 50% of their heating and cooling costs over the year just due to the quality of the insulation, and less air leakage. The decrease in air leakage will increase the R-value of the insulation making it a higher R-Value than a normal house.

Solid ICF walls increase the thermal mass, thus keeping a moderate air temperature at all times in the house. By having this moderate air temperature, it will allow us to use less energy by not running the furnace as often, and saving our power from solar.
